PLAY-OFF FINAL - TENERIFE vs HOSPITALET (Barcelona)

PLAY-OFF FINAL 1ST LEG

SUNDAY 26TH MAY - KICK OFF MIDDAY

CD TENERIFE vs CE L´HOSPITALET

So CD Tenerife have drawn the winners from Group 3 (Catalan and East Spain group) Hospitalet. Not a bad draw(best to avoid Alaves) but they were not group winners for nothing and have the leading scorer in Cirio who notched up 21 goals. First leg here next Sunday and the return the Sunday after June 2nd in Barcelona. The Catalans play on an artifical pitch which is not good but better than playing on a bumpy/mudbath like some we have recently on the mainland.

If anyone wants to make their way from UK that would be great. Tickets for the away match are just 10€ BEFOREHAND OR 15€ ON THE DOOR) and there should not be much trouble in getting hold of them, the stadium holds 8.000 but Hospitalet rarely get over 600/700 fans.
Plans are underway for the away excursion AND Tenerife could well have 1,000 supporters in 2 weeks time in Barcelona.
Also, as well as our final you could take the opportunity to watch FC Barcelona vs Malaga which is likely to be played on the Sat. June 1st evening.
WHAT A WEEKEND!!!

What are the rules for the playoffs for Segunda B?

Hi Guys. First time poster on the forum although I have been reading it for a coupe of years now.

I have been a regular visitor to Tenerife for nearly 20 years and been to a number of Tenerife matches.

I know the league has been won but can't remember the exact format of how the playoffs work to secure promotion back to the Segunda league.

From memory I believe the 4 teams who have won the 4 regional leagues go strraight to 2 finals and the 2 winners of those games are promoted, with the losers dropping into the remaining playoffs. Is this right? and what is the format for the rest f the playoffs. Also can anyone confirm the palyoff dates.

Thanks

Where can I find information on the workings of CD Tenerife?

Hi all,

I'm currently working on a project focusin on 2a B and I'm looking for more information on the clubs there. Tenerife are one of the ones I'm focusing on and I was wondering if there was anyone here who has knowledge on the day-to-day club workings, finances and social side of the club, and who would like to discuss these with me.

Thanks,

Matias

Sunday 12th May - CD Tenerife vs RSD Alcalá

SUNDAY 12TH MAY - KICK OFF 5PM

CD TENERIFE vs RSD ALCALA

Tenerife are already the champions and now have two weeks to wait for the big play-off final played over two legs (May 26th & June 2nd). The game this Sunday still has something riding on it as rivals RSD Alcala need to win to stay up so it should be a cracking game. The blanquiazules may make some changes but with competition high no player will want to take the game lightly.

The match itself may be overshadowed by fan protests against the President due to the fact that all season ticket holders will be forced to pay extra for the play off final, not just the that, the way it was done.
During the first 15 minutes there will be a "fan strike" where everyone sits down and stays dead quiet. On 15 minutes all eyes will turn to the board of directors and in unison chant "President resign!". Then the songs as normal will continue.
